Aberystwyth Arts Centre is Wales’ largest multi-art form venue and the focal point for artistic excellence in Mid Wales. Our distinctive contribution is to provide a vital resource for the arts and culture in the region; with a national and international outlook. We are a department of Aberystwyth University and an active member of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Our facilities include Theatr y Werin, the Great Hall, three Galleries, cinema, performance studio, and a number of creative learning spaces including dance studios and rehearsal rooms, offering access to activity across all art forms and through both Welsh and English. With over 600,000 visitors annually, and offering in excess of 6000 classes, we provide both a programme of cultural entertainment as well as arts-based education, creativity and development. We are keen to develop partnerships with organisations, artists and groups from across Wales, the UK and internationally and to ensure we deliver a wide ranging and diverse programme.

We both programme and produce work across all artforms, to ensure we can deliver a wide ranging and attractive programme for our communities. The variety of performance spaces/sizes we have means we can programme both larger scale commercial work and support the work of new and emerging artists from Wales. We work in partnership with the national touring companies to provide a location for their work in Mid Wales, and are happy to discuss co-productions and R&D projects.
