Our membership is only open to professionally run theatres or companies in order to appropriately service the membership as a whole.
-
I work in the sector but my organisation doesn’t want to join?
-
We welcome individuals from organisations who may join under the individual membership level. It might be something you try on your own and then encourage your organisation to join at a later point.
-
Once I become a member do I have to pay extra for training events?
-
We heavily subsidise our events and training sessions. There may be occasions where we have to charge for attendance in order to cover room hire or catering or go towards the event.
-
Why do I have to pay for hynt and Creu Cymru membership separately?
-
There is some crossover as Creu Cymru manages hynt on behalf of the Arts Council of Wales but as each are funded separately, we need membership for each to be managed separately. You do not have to be a member of Creu Cymru to join hynt and vice versa. Hynt membership is compulsory for some Creu Cymru members who are APWs. If you would like more information on joining hynt, please contact our Projects Administrator Megan Merrett on megan@creucymru.com.
-
How is Creu Cymru funded?
- Creu Cymru receives income from membership fees and grants from Arts Council of Wales, trusts and foundations.
-
How does Go & See bursary work?
-
Open to Creu Cymru members, a cornerstone of Creu Cymru’s work is the Go & See scheme, individual members may apply for a bursary towards costs of attending performances, training opportunities, festivals and conferences.
To apply, a member informs the Administrator of an event that they would like to apply for a bursary for. The Administrator can book accommodation, travel and tickets on behalf of the individual. Half the costs will be paid by Creu Cymru with a cap at £150, with an invoice for the remaining costs sent to the member.
For this the member is required to write a report on the event that will be shared on the Creu Cymru website.
