Megan joined Creu Cymru as the Projects Administrator in 2014 and since its launch in March 2015, has led on Hynt, the national access scheme for theatres and arts centres in Wales.
Before this, Megan had worked at National Dance Company Wales for a decade as the Participation Officer which involved the development, delivery, co-ordination and evaluation of participative activity such as the Company Tour Workshops, Dance Development Days and Summer Dance Course.
During this time, Megan also completed the Arts Management PG Dip at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with distinction. After returning to work part time following the birth of her first son in 2008, Megan also undertook a range of part time freelance roles including Tour Booker and Resident Marketing Officer for Theatr Pena.
In addition to her work with Creu Cymru, Megan is the Volunteers and Participation Coordinator at Memo Arts Centre in Barry, where she has built a volunteer bank and developed a programme of participatory activity and projects including Memo Book Club, a community quilt project and intergenerational dance and mindfulness projects. Megan is also a school governor and the Chair of Cadog’s Corner Development Group, a charity based in Cadoxton, Barry which runs projects such as a pay what you feel food waste shop and junk food café to address food poverty, sustainability, and isolation in the community.
After growing up in Penarth and studying Drama and English at Bristol University, Megan now lives in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan with her husband, sons, stepdaughter and dogs. In her spare time she likes to read and is a sporadic blogger.
