Creu Cymru welcomes the opportunity to support students in Higher Education, graduates or early year creatives in their studies or career by offering opportunities to support our events and activities in return for valuable industry experience.

Opportunities

Hynt Symposium

What: An annual day long Conference to share best practice for hynt venues members, hearing from experts, members, those with lived experience.

When: Tuesday 12th November 2024 (approximately 10am-4pm)

Where: Y Muni, Pontypridd

How to get involved: We are a small team and often need support at our events. Areas to get involved include pre-event marketing and promotion, social media support, guest support, speaker liaison and general runners.

You will be able to attend the event, network and learn from those in the room as well as gaining event and arts management experience.

 

Creu Cymru Annual Conference

What: The Creu Cymru Conference aims to bring together professionals working across the performing arts in Wales. The Conference will provide opportunities to hear about incredible initiatives, best practice and fantastic cultural events that have been happening in the sector. There will be keynote speakers, panel sessions, workshops, a performance, and an opening night drinks reception.

When: 2nd and 3rd April 2025. Set up from 11am, ending approximately 4pm on the 3rd.

Where: Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff.

How to get involved: Areas to get involved include pre-event marketing and promotion, social media support, guest support, speaker liaison and general runners.

You will be able to attend the event, network and learn from those in the room as well as gaining event and arts management experience. You are welcome to be there for one or two days.

 

Mix up and Pitch

What: A gathering of theatre makers, producers and theatre programmers.

Mix up and Pitch will be an event made up of 5-minute theatre-maker pitches and 2-5-minute venue pitches aimed at sharing new ideas and encouraging the connections to make them happen. Pitches will come from theatre-makers, producers and venues in a spirit of openness and collaboration, ensuring it’s a valuable event whether you’re pitching or not.

When: February 2025 (date tbc)

Where: TBC

Other Ad Hoc Support

There are often desk based research projects and other ad hoc administrative tasks that could support our work and our members. Please get in touch to see what opportunities there might be at the time. We are a work from home based organisation with no fixed office so you will need to access to IT and a space to work.

 

Travel expenses and food on the day will be provided at in person events.
