The Swits (Switch) Staff Exchange Programme is your opportunity to broaden your skills, build your network, and gain fresh insight into the arts sector in Wales.
What is the Swits Programme?
Swits is a professional development exchange for early-career staff working in technical, administrative, or artistic roles within our member organisations. If you’ve got under 5 years' experience in a theatre or producing company, this is for you.
Whether you're an administrator curious about programming, or a new starter eager to see how others in your role operate, Swits helps you step into another organisation’s world and gain hands-on, real-life learning.

You’ll gain a deeper understanding of the arts in Wales while strengthening your career path. It’s also a powerful way to connect with others, especially as organisations rebuild after the pandemic and funding challenges.
What You’ll Get
Participants will spend 3 days with a partner organisation and receive:
- £150 travel contribution
- £250 for accommodation
- £15 per diem per day
- Placement based on your top 3 organisation preferences
You’ll arrange your own travel and accommodation, with any additional costs covered by your employer.

If you are:
- Working in a member organisation
- In an early-career position (less than 5 years' experience)
- Passionate about developing your skills in a new environment

Terms and Conditions
There are four opportunities in the first year. Opportunities will be allocated on a first come first served basis as long as you met the requirements and we can fulfil your request. One opportunity per member organisation.
We also ask participants to write a short blog / testimonial about your experience that we can use on the Creu Cymru website.
