Creu Cymru Fringe Event at the Plaid Cymru Conference

Join us for a dynamic panel discussion exploring how the arts can shape the future of Wales. Hosted by Creu Cymru, this fringe event brings together voices from across the cultural sector to spark conversation on identity, activism, and the transformative power of creativity.

From revitalising local economies to empowering communities and inspiring political change, culture is a powerful driver of progress. Together, we’ll explore how creative practice, and cultural policy can work hand in hand to build a more vibrant, inclusive, and ambitious Wales.

Chaired by Heledd Fychan MS, Plaid Cymru Member of the Senedd for South Wales Central and member of the Culture, Communications, Welsh Language, Sport and International Relations Committee.

Themes we’ll explore:

  • Practice & Policy: What do artists and organisations need to thrive?
  • Community & Regeneration: How can culture tackle social challenges?
  • Impact & Imagination: Can creativity shape political thinking?
  • Identity & Language: How do the arts sustain Welsh identity and language?

Tea, coffee, juice and pastries provided.

Simultaneous translation available.
