Pontio is multi disciplinary arts centre and cinema in the heart of Bangor. A department of Bangor University, Pontio is now over 5 years old and is a vibrant, agile and energetic space. As an arts centre, we welcome touring work from the local area, nationally and internationally, along with commissioning and co-producing new work with a wide range of artists and organisations. We work closely with the people of Bangor and the surrounding area to provide an invaluable resource for the whole community.

We programme work from across the art forms, presenting work from dynamic and diverse creatives. This includes dance, film, visual art, digital art, classical music, contemporary music, experimental work, circus and vertical dance and theatre in Welsh, English and multilingual.
